Episode 151: Navigate Your Energy & Setting Boundaries in Post-Pandemic Life | Interview with Heather Chauvin
This journey is one of constant unlayering and unlocking. My East Coast “alter-ego”, Heather Chauvin, is on the podcast today as a podcaster, author, leadership coach, and cancer survivor sharing her perspective on some of our favorite topics.
Where are you giving your energy? Mothering and surrendering as a parent is such a big area with a toughness in letting go, but also with our friendships, relationships, and even clients. Being in alignment, there is so much awareness, so we have to take a step back and let people have their experiences.
Heather shares the BEST advice: the purpose of life is to feel good. Feel good, and you’ll figure it out. She says this is the key for her in moving forward in mothering and in her business after her diagnoses. She is constantly asking herself, how good can it get? How can you feel good in your business and making money? How can you feel good in your relationship? Heather breaks it down into questions for your daily actions.
What can you do to feel good today for your responsibilities?
What can you do to lean into your desires?
Post-pandemic era, life is shifting. For Heather, the hit of the pandemic was Déjà vu of her diagnosis. Her biggest tool in this craziness of our new reality is to put yourself first. We’ve been conditioned to believe that putting yourself first is selfish, but it’s not, it’s necessary. During the cocoon of time that was quarantine, we were forced to practice this type of self-care and now as life begins to get busy if we do not make a conscious effort we will fall back into our old habits.
We wrap up the episode with Heather’s thoughts on manifesting. She ties her approach back to the daily actions, you have to be all in. Your affirmations have to match your actions. If you want to manifest something, that is essentially a desire. If you have the desire, then you are qualified to receive it. The decluttering is who you become on the way to that desire.
Heather has so much good information and ideas to share, as well as some of her interesting personal experiences. I hope you enjoy this new addition to our weekly episodes, and I am excited to continue to feature new guests each week!
